Correio 24h: For the time being, the whale brains collected in Caravelas, in the south of Bahia, are still there, at the headquarters of the Humpback Whale Institute (IBJ). They are stored in containers with formaldehyde, but this should change soon. Researcher Kamilla Souza's idea is to set up a second brain refrigerator for research. In addition to the refrigerator that has 50 dolphin brains at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), the plan is to have a new piece of equipment in Bahia, at the IBJ.
